Covid-19

Dog walking through the pandemic

Dog walkers are permitted to operate under O. Reg. 82/20 – for services that are necessary for the immediate health and welfare of the animal only, or provided through curb side pick-up and drop-off of the animal,” states the Reopening Ontario Act.

We are able to pick up your dog curbside, or at your front door using our own leash, wearing a face mask and maintaining six feet of distance from anyone in the home. During this time our tool belts are never without our face masks, and hand sanitizer.

Covid Pups

Many people have taken this time to rescue or buy a dog or a puppy while they are working from home. We definitely agree that dogs make the very best coworkers!

Benefits to getting your new dog or puppy out on our pack walks:

  • Socialization to the outside world i.e. new people, dogs, the car, different outdoor spaces, sights and sounds
  • A routine they can maintain when there is a return to work which will help lessen anxiety that comes with changes to routine and help avoid separation anxiety when they are left alone. We are also happy to give you more tips about this if it is something you are concerned about.
  • Allowing you a time frame when you will be able to totally focus on an appointment, meeting, project or self-care
  • Reinforcement of new training ie recall or basic commands such as “sit” “stay” as well as potty training for puppies or rescues
  • Seeing your dog happy, fulfilled, content and easier to manage during your down time since we have helped drain a good portion of their energy
  • Showing off “#SquadGoal” photos of your dog with their new besties on their social media account
